John Kammes – Certified Reflexologist / Healing Touch Practitioner

John began his journey within holistic medicine as a teenager when he was introduced to energy work through the Healing Touch Program as a client. This bridged into his path within the world of shamanism and the many avenues it opened up to. He began training in the Healing Touch Program in 2005, several years later becoming a Healing Touch Practitioner. In 2009 he attended the School of Holistic Massage and Reflexology (SOHMAR) and became a certified reflexologist. Dave has been a professional astrologer for over thirty three years. His consultations include interpretation of the birth chart and one year's look ahead into the future. Comparing two charts called synastry, along with teaching seven levels of astrology is an important part of his practice. Dave has lectured for the National Council for Geocosmic Research (N.C.G.R.), the Theosophical Society, and  "Friends of Astrology" of which he was vice-president for many years. Tina McDonald is a Usui Reiki Master Teacher and an affiliate member of the International Center for Reiki Training. Maureen is collaborating with the Bellissima Opera, a writing project to benefit inner city students in Chicago where she has created writing prompts about transcendence and crossing the lines of diversity.

Maureen currently hosts a sacred creative writing circle monthly in her home, where she taps into her inner source to create writing prompts for women to use as a form of release from their hearts to pen and paper. She brings women to a place of openness and a sense of going into a place where they can use writing as a tool to express their inner longings about life. They are free to write in any form, whether it is poetry, prose, journal writing, and or a memory. The prompt invites them to tap into their senses to write from their hearts. She will invite women to follow a prompt, and they will have ten minutes to write from the prompt. If they choose to do so, they can share what they wrote. Prompts may include visuals or objects to write about.  

Dominic is a 48 year old Chicagoland native. For the last 10 years he has been active in many communities as an ally and advocate for LGBTQ, Veteran, Pagan and indigenous peoples rights. He attained his Usui Reiki Master / Teacher attunement in 2017 and has practiced since.

Along with Reiki, Dominic has also studied herbalism / plant medicine, Shamanic ritual, drum journeying and vibrational therapy. He's also studied extensively with the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids.

Dominic is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church and has many ties to local ceremonial and prayer circles of both pagan and indigenous paths.

I became a licensed Clinical Psychologist in 1980. Since that time I have worked with many modalities and in many settings including private practice, group practices, clinics, and prisons.

My most recent explorations brought me to Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique and the brilliant work and legacy of Dolores Cannon. I immediately felt a strong connection to the work. Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique had everything that was missing for me in the practice of traditional psychotherapy. Most notably it gave me the time needed to really get to know the client. Instead of being confined by the traditional fifty-minute hour, I now had as much time as I needed to have a full discussion/interview sometimes taking as much as three hours. Also, QHHT gave me the outlet to explore the spiritual side of life with the client and to invoke the client’s subconscious, where the real action takes place. I am honored and privileged to take this journey with each client and to help facilitate what is often a profound and life changing event.

Aside from my work, I live with my wonderful wife/partner/ best friend and our son in the western suburbs of Chicago. I have written a novel, two books of short stories and a self-help book that provides guidance on the physical, emotional, and spiritual sides of life. I have performed as an actor in community theater for the past eight years and have also written several one act plays that were produced locally. I have played the trumpet on the stage of Orchestra Hall and played baseball at Wrigley Field.

I specialize in shadow work. Meaning, after finding and identifying the parts of you that seem scary or unlovable – the parts that you would rather not show anyone – we focus on what these shadows are, why they’re there, and what they need. Together, we bring light to them so that we can work with them in a new way to incorporate and love these thorny sides. To show these parts love and light is to lead with the heart and facilitate wholeness.
With each session and ceremony, I utilize my strengths and specialties as an empath to create sacred space. Here, I encourage everyone to drop into their heart: to find, honor, and transform their shadow.
